Circuit of Samobor hills

The hike will start in the village of Rude (accessible from Samobor by public transport) known after savoury “rudarska greblica” (“miners’ pie”) one of the most recent addition to the list of register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications of the European Union. During the hike we will go up and down the peaks of Oštrc (752 m), Plešivica (779 m) and Okić (499 m) passing through inhabited villages with orchards and vineyards or guessing which tiny houses are used for relaxing weekends of Zagreb and Samobor inhabitants. We will pass by at least two mountain huts which are known for preparation of traditional meals (one is known after its home-made sausages) and complete the hike at the ruins of old town Okić also known as the location marking the beginnings of alpinism in Croatia. The return to Samobor and Zagreb is by public transport as well.
